Years in Korea was soooo much fun! It took place in the streets in front of
my hotel [YMCA: and no need to make village people jokes about it to me because
my co-workers had that part covered before I left =)]. The road was jammed packed
with people pushing each other in like herds of cattle; so one minute we would
be going forward, and then the next we were being hurdled backwards in frequent
oscillations! I have a movie file I'd like to put on the net but it's so big
that I'll have to find another way to make it available. The fireworks you see
on the right were shot from long sticks about 1.5-2 ft long and had 5 shots
in each of them that went fairly high in the air (as you can see). To the bottom
left is a picture of Anthea and Yvonne (sorry if I spelled your names wrong).
They're Nova teachers from Tokyo who I met on my tour of the DMZ. To the bottom
right is a picture of us in the street with the fireworks behind us.
