This
is Sir Charles. He's a fellow American with a passion for Star Wars and Marvel
collectible figures. He's helped me out a lot since I've come to Japan and I've
appreciated it. We'z alwayz talkin' ghetto.
This
is another good guy in my branch named Jon. I've met so many John's and Jon's
since coming to Japan, but this guy is by far is the coolest. He's from England,
plays in a band, writes articles for "Fukuoka Now" (a foreigner magazine),
is married and will soon be a father in the upcoming month. And even with his
busy schedule, he tries to help me out with my hiragana and katakana.
Russell:
He's a laid back Aussie guy who's fun to talk to over a few beers or Cocktails.
But because of last week, I think we'll both being staying away from Screwdrivers.
Vodka has always been the death of me. Oh yes, and he loves "pink panties"
(the cocktail of course) =)
Mark:
He's the Assistant Trainer at our school who does all of my observations and
training. Although he scares me sometimes with his jokes, I think he's a great
teacher and a good guy. If he ever talks about me cursing at taxi drivers while
walking down the street, then I have no idea what that's all about. (Mark's
also responsible for giving me the nickname "Big Wang." )
***Kieran
Mate! Sorry man, I didn't mean to disrespect you with the last post! I think
you're an awesome guy! And like everyone else at Youme Town, I've appreciated
your help. Kieran: The first guy I met at
Youme Town while drinking one night in Tenjin. He's got mad skills whenever
we have Karaoke night, and he likes to "Buck" like an animal because
it makes him feel closer to god (Nine Inch Nails style of course).
Pam:
A really sweet and good person. She helped me get my cable modem from JCOM.
God bless her! (She also loans me extra cash when we go out to eat because I
usually have less money at the end of the night than I do at the beginning of
it)
This
dork would be me. I'm glad I got a picture of myself before going to the barber
a couple days ago. Now I look like I belong in the Chinese army.<sigh>
Yoshiko:
A nice girl who can eat as much food as a guy! She's always upbeat and GENKI!.
Yukiko:
I call her Ojousan; she's cool and always teaches me the most essential Japanese
words I need to know at Nova such as, "I'm bored...I'm tired...I want to
go home." =)
Tomoko:
She's the Staff manager for the Japanese workers, but she looks like she's in
high school. I always have to get her to sign off my timecard because I forget
to clock in just about everyday! Gomenasai!!
Yasuko:
Super Genki, and a really good Karaoke singer. Her favorite line is, "onaka
ga suita" (I'm hungry)
A
fun night out eating Korean style barbeque, and all you drink beer!!!
